Royal 4-some. And so Aiway returns from the Down Under.
Straight into the Singapore humidity that she has kindly forgotten. Complaining every step of the way in Orchard. Not before trimming her eyebrows at Bugis of course.. heh, I must say, the beautician really did a awesome job with Aiway's brows. From normal to semi-glam. With a few brushes and a few shaving, she collects $13.. is that easy peasy money or what?!
Met Danny and Evon at Far East Plaza for the official start of our shopping.
Eyed a metallic chained watch with colourful graphics on the second floor which I fell insanely in love it. I'll get it on Tuesday, when my second installment of pocket money ka-chings its way into my account. Probably get a tee from Bugis street too.. and who knows... trim my eyebrows? o.O
Oh the horror, what have you done to me Aiway!!
Anyways, town was flooded with foreign workers today. From the Lucky Plaza area to Paragon. They cluttered on benches and open spaces. I've not been to town on a Sunday enough to get used to that sight; felt uncomfortable with so many of them in a collective location. It's just a perfect ingredient for trouble in my opinion. Nothing racist la~ just an opinion.
Continued spending money at Heerens, well.. the girls did anyway. We dudes just chilled as they hopped from shop to shop. Only shop that caught my attention was "Flowers in the Attic". Read a review about that shop in Lime mag two months ago. Lurve the layout of the shop to da core! Colour co-ordination was oozing style too! I'm so obsessed with the "perfect shopping experience" and "Flowers in the Attic" managed to provide that. Even though they were selling ladies' wear & apparel exclusively.
Dinner at Newton was close to a nightmare.
We arrived at the old Newton Food Centre and it was closed. As in enveloped all around with contruction barriers. We all thought they were STILL closed for renovations. Plans were already made to move to somewhere else to makan. But we held strong, fought hard against growling bellies and emerged wiser by finding the stalls still opened, housed at a TEMPORARY food centre. (Actually, we overlooked a banner that blatantly said "NEWTON FOOD TEMPORARY CENTRE NOW OPENED".)
Some people eat to live. Some live to eat. But we ate to puke. So much food for 4 of us. Walking almost killed us right after dinner. But something about the new food centre I dislike.. the hawkers were trying to "la(1) ke(4)" or badly phrased, "pull customers". It's plain irritating to have to repeat "No"... and to repeat it with a smile was bloody #$%#$^ harder.
So endeth the day with much cheer!
Aiway with a dilemma.. "They should make a sign to make people make up their minds faster!"
