Royal New Year!A New Year has finally arrived! It's the season to set resolutions and stick to them as close to as possible. My last few hours of 2004 was "wondersome", "awesomeful"! When I thought my New Year's Eve would just be another boring stay at home, sleeping the night away, I was proven wrong when I decided to meet up with Danny and the IG's Heaven people for a mini countdown party at Harry's Bar. But before that!!! There's another piece of interesting happening...
During the sermon in church, I was mass-forwarding a text message originally sent from a friend. Some of you might have recieved it, the very original/lame message about 2004 leaving us and never returning again. The point is, one of the many people I messaged, Sarah was one of them. There's nothing fascinating there is it?.. But the story gets a bit quirky when she happens to be the first person to reply me! Like. WHOA! Ok, I might be blowing matters out of proportion. *returns to cool, composed self...*
Getting back to the mini party...
Danny, Evon, XieJun and Janet, QiuMei and Pauline from IG's Heaven were there. Not forgetting Joe, who affiliated with Pauline as a friend. Met the people at Cafe Cartel above CityLink at around 10.30pm before taking a cab down to Harbourfront. Harry's Bar was our destination. A cosy bar that was packed with loads of people way before we got there. By some sheer forsight, Pauline seemed to have planted a friend there to help us book seats. And so, we sat in a dim corner of the joint, ordered 3 jugs of Bourbon Coke. (that how you spell it?). And so we played table games chatted a bit, suaning included. Felt really at ease with the people.
Stayed the night over at Pauline's. Some HDB flat in the Simei area. Somehow, I thought I messaged my mum about the decision to spend the night out, but the sms wasnt sent out. Oops. The stayover totally raWked. Pauline actually got her bro's clothes for Danny and me. And toothbrushes in the morning too. Ahhh, the joys of having someone OLD taking care of us. =) We spent the night watching this Chinese action movie about some triad big-shot. Shared ghostly encounters. Whereby I was huddled under covers, listening intently.
This New Year marks a brand new start! Like everyone's getting in the mood for resolutions, I've shared my one and only resolution with Xinyang and the Slacker Clan. Wish me luck people! Love ya'll lots.
